S&W's North End
Decatur
Decatur occupies only a small corner of the layout next to the lift bridge section. It has only one industry, Poco Graphite.
Bowie
Bowie is a small town about half way between Saginaw and Wichita Falls. On the S&W it is home to a short runaround track and two live industries-Midwestern Mud Services and Berend Bros. Feeds. I also model an old, burned out grain elevator which actually still stood in the summer of 2003.
Wichita Falls
The small yard at Wichita Falls serves local switching purposes. On the S&W those industries include Wichita Tool Supply, a small grain elevator, a team track, and MAP Oil Tools. The yard also connects to the WT&J via Katy Yard (see below).
Katy Yard
Here is a sketch of a modified EMD GP7 with a Wichita, Tillman, & Jackson paint scheme. WT&J interchanges with BNSF at Katy Yard, just north-west of Wichita Falls Yard in Wichita Falls, TX. Along side the yard there is also a scrap metal dealer served by rail.
